PADI DIVEMASTER INTERNSHIP IN SOUTH AFRICA'S SECRET PARADISE
Take your first step in making the beach your office and become a PADI Dive Professional. Gain experience being a Divemaster at one of the best dive locations in the world, take part in marine conservation research, and learn more about the ocean to share with your future clients!
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE DIVING INTERNSHIP
Our internship kicks off any Friday of the month, welcoming you to Sodwana Bay, one of the most vibrant marine ecosystems on Earth. From day one, you’ll dive into an unforgettable journey that combines world-class dive training with hands-on marine conservation.
Your first weekend is all about settling in, getting oriented, and meeting your new ocean-loving crew. Then, on Sunday, it’s time to splash into the pool and start your PADI Open Water dive training, or refresh your dive skills before heading into the ocean.
During your first week, you’ll complete your PADI Open Water course in just three days and be ready to explore Sodwana’s incredible reefs. Already certified? Dive straight into the action and join our team on research dives.
Once qualified, you'll join our Nudibranch monitoring project. You’ll be diving five days a week, collecting photographic data, and contributing to real marine biodiversity research. Alongside experienced instructors and fellow interns, you’ll help monitor reef health and build skills that matter.
From there, your journey to PADI Divemaster begins. Through additional certifications, assisting instructors and leading dives, you’ll gain the experience and confidence to become a professional in the dive industry or marine science field.
Our program blends adventure, learning, and impact. You'll grow as a diver, contribute to vital conservation work, and make unforgettable memories, both underwater and on land.
And yes, we believe in balance. Every week, enjoy one day of adventure with our epic local excursions, and one day to simply relax and recharge.
This is more than just an internship. It’s your chance to dive deep, learn more, and be part of something meaningful. Join us and turn your passion for the ocean into purpose.
