Lysekil is the undisputed capital for anyone obsessed with the sea. There is a reason the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management, major research stations and Havets Hus are all based here. At the center of it all is Gullmarsfjorden, Sweden’s only true threshold fjord.
The unique way the water enters and exits through the outer skerries creates a rich, specialized ecosystem. Here, you’ll encounter deep-sea species that migrate up to diveable depths, offering a window into the deep that you won’t find anywhere else in the country.
The Experience
This is a relaxed, land-based diving weekend designed to explore the rich marine life of Gullmarn and the famous house reef, Släggö. Whether you are here for the unique fjord biology or a Saturday night dive under the stars, the focus is on sharing the water with a like-minded crew.
